Adding a Sub-Merchant User

Purpose

As a Parter you may choose to provide sub-merchants with their own users. This would not only enable merchants to log-in to the Exact Dashboard to view reports but also to use certain functions of the API .

Steps

The first step is to log-in to your Partner account using your Partner Admin user. Using the drop-down arrow beside the Partner name (Flower Power in this example) you will select the sub-merchant where the new user will be added. Note: if no sub-merchant is selected a user will be created under the Partner instead.

After selecting the sub-merchant account, press Invite User.

From the Invite User menu, enter the Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and Role for the new user. Merchant Admin is the only default role for a sub-merchant.
Note: Partners can create custom roles as desired under the Roles and Permissions section.

The invited user will then receive an email similar to the following.

Note: Users will not appear in the dashboard (other than under the Invites section) until they have accepted the invitation and set their password.

Once the user has set their password they will be able to log-in under their sub-merchant account. They can also use the same credentials to access Exact's APIs.
